“Today” Show Co-Anchor Craig Melvin Targeted By Alleged Intruder Who Shouted N-Word & Lunged At Him Before Arrest
A man broke through security at “Today” show’s Rockefeller Center set Thursday morning (July 16) and was arrested after lunging at co-anchor #CraigMelvin and shouting the n-word.
The crazy incident, which happened around 9 a.m. ET, wasn’t captured on the broadcast; TMZ first reported it, citing law enforcement sources who said the intruder had been trying to find longtime weatherman #AlRoker before turning on Melvin when he couldn’t locate him. No one was physically injured, and NBC News has not commented on the incident as of this post.
