The group, founded by Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois, were together until they disbanded in 1999.

After that, they reunited in 2021, again in 2024 and now fans will be over the moon to know that they are once again joining forces for a brand new song.

The band have created the theme song for the upcoming romantic comedy One Night Only – which will be released in the US on August 7 and August 28 in the UK.

And the tune, named One Night Only (Break Loose Break Free), was released on July 31.

The movie also stars the likes of Maya Hawke, Julia Fox, Molly Ringwald, LeVar Burton, Este Haim, Ziwe and King Princess.

Fans have rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their excitement.

One wrote: “The New Radicals reuniting to write a song for the purge, but for sex movie has absolutely charmed me.”

Another added: “That new Radicals song from One Night Only is FUNKYYYYY.”

A third chimed in: “Yahhooooo! New Radicals with an original new song after a long time!”

The group have only released one studio album, Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too, which was released in 1998.

It placed at number 10 in the UK, 13 in Australia, 17 in Canada and 41 in the US.

Some of their other well-known songs include Someday We’ll Know, You Get What You Give, Murder on the Dancefloor and Lost Stars, but none reach the success of You Get What You Give.
