Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are still very much dating, having first got together back in January 2023. After keeping their romance largely out of the spotlight during the first two years, the pair have since moved into a more public chapter of their relationship, marked by high-profile declarations of love and a joint red carpet appearance.
As Kylie is celebrating turning 29 today (August 10), we take a closer look at the US media personality and business mogul’s romance with Hollywood heartthrob Timothée, 30, and where things currently stand between them – from marriage plans to babies in the future.
How they met
The couple first crossed paths in January 2023 during Paris Fashion Week, where they were spotted deep in conversation at a Jean Paul Gaultier fashion show.
Rumours of a romance officially began circulating in April 2023, following tips submitted to celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi. Shortly afterwards, Jenner’s car was spotted outside Chalamet’s Beverly Hills home.
The pair made their first public outing together in September 2023, putting on a very cosy display at Beyoncé’s Renaissance world tour concert in Los Angeles.
They made their official red carpet debut at the David Di Donatello Awards in Rome on May 7, 2025, and Chalamet subsequently made their relationship “Instagram official” by leaving affectionate comments on Jenner’s page.
Where they stand now
Kylie and Timothée are firmly into their third year together. Despite sporadic break up rumours fuelled by Chalamet’s demanding filming schedules, insiders confirm the couple remain head over heels for one another.
Chalamet made his most public declarations about Jenner in January 2026. While collecting the Best Actor gong for Marty Supreme at the Critics Choice Awards, he openly acknowledged Jenner, saying: “Thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you.”
Jenner was spotted in the audience mouthing, “I love you”, in return. He followed this up with another shout-out to his “partner” at the 2026 Golden Globes.
Chalamet has spent a considerable amount of time with Jenner’s family, including attending festive gatherings and meeting her two children, Stormi and Aire.
Marriage plans
While Kylie and Timothée are not officially engaged, they are actively mapping out a long-term future together that includes marriage.
Both stars have dropped unmistakable hints that walking down the aisle is on the cards, with insiders describing them as being “totally aligned” on taking that next step.
In February 2026, Chalamet openly spoke about his marriage intentions for the first time. During a Marty Supreme screening and Q&A session in London, a journalist asked whether he could ever see himself getting married.
Chalamet responded with a straightforward “Yes,” confirming his desire to wed his partner.
When the audience cheekily asked if they could attend the wedding, he wittily shot back, “Who is ‘we’-the whole crowd?” Sources close to the pair have revealed that Chalamet has been living with Jenner in Los Angeles for over a year. As they are virtually inseparable and Chalamet is heavily involved in raising her children, friends note that they essentially conduct themselves like a married couple already.
Those within the production and family circle report that the couple has had serious discussions about getting engaged. Jenner has jokingly referred to Chalamet as her “husband” in private and would immediately say yes to a proposal, though they are keen not to rush into things.
Unsurprisingly, given Jenner’s billionaire beauty empire, her mother Kris Jenner has already reportedly urged her to secure a watertight prenuptial agreement before any official walk down the aisle takes place.

In early 2026, tabloids widely reported that Kris Jenner was attempting to negotiate a nine-figure, $100 million (£74 million) deal to broadcast Kylie and Timothée’s wedding as a major special on The Kardashians.
Meanwhile, in July this year, a bizarre viral TikTok rumour claimed the couple had been granted permission to hold their wedding at the White House. This was swiftly debunked as completely without foundation.
Starting a family
Kylie and Timothée have both made clear they want children in the future. While they are in agreement on starting a family together, Jenner has set out a particular timeframe for when she hopes to grow her family.
In a March 2026 cover story interview with Vanity Fair, Jenner openly confirmed her wish to have more children but noted she wants to hold off for a while. She shares daughter Stormi, 8, and son Aire, 4, with her former partner Travis Scott.
“In the last years of my twenties, I want to focus on just me, my businesses, my work, traveling with my kids, enjoying my kids… And then… I do want to have more kids,” she said.
Chalamet, who has no children of his own, has also spoken candidly about his desire to start a family. In a Vogue cover interview, he revealed that fatherhood is firmly “on the radar” for him as he watches those around him and fellow co-stars reach significant life milestones.
He recalled watching a celebrity boast about the freedom of opting not to have children, admitting that both he and a friend found that outlook deeply “bleak”.

Jenner began dating rapper Scott, 35, after connecting at Coachella in 2017. They share two children together, daughter Stormi and son Aire. They dated on-and-off for several years before splitting permanently in early 2023.
Rapper Tyga, 36, was her first highly publicised, long-term relationship. The pair faced public scrutiny due to their age difference early on but dated officially for roughly three years before breaking up in April 2017.
Chalamet’s most significant previous relationships were with model Lily-Rose Depp and Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon, alongside a few brief summer flings and rumoured co-star romances.
The actor began a high-profile relationship with Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose Depp in 2018 after they met on the set of the Netflix film The King. They were together for roughly a year and a half before their split in early 2020.
Chalamet later spoke to GQ about the intense paparazzi scrutiny they faced during a vacation in Italy.
Lourdes Leon was his first serious relationship. The pair dated while they were both attending the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City, US. Leon later confirmed to Vanity Fair that Chalamet was her very first boyfriend, and the two have remained friendly.
