Sharon Osbourne stuns pub-goers as she downs beer at a boozer in Birmingham

Sharon Osbourne left punters open-mouthed when she rocked up at Merlin’s Cafe Bar in her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne’s hometown of Birmingham

Sharon Osbourne left pub-goers gobsmacked when she rocked up at a boozer in Birmingham. The wife of beloved Black Sabbath star, Ozzy, was in the Black Country paying homage to her husband when she popped up in Merlin’s Cafe Bar, where she promptly downed a beer!

The X Factor star, 73, knocked back a bottle of Hobsons Brewery‘s Patient Number 9, which was released on July 22 to mark Ozzy Day.

Popping the top off the bottle of light golden ale, Mrs O, took several swigs before giving the camera the thumbs up. Dressed all in black – save for several pearl bracelets – The Osbournes star also had a tour of the bar, with staff joking that if Sharon ever needed another job she was welcome in the pub anytime.

The Birmingham boozer posted the video of Sharon on social media, they wrote: “During the incredible build-up to World Ozzy Day on July 22nd, we had the absolute privilege of welcoming rock royalty herself, @sharonosbourne Sharon Osbourne, through our doors at Merlin’s Café Bar.

“While showing her around, pouring her a bottle of Patient Number 9, and showing off our memorial wall, Martin cheekily asked if she fancied joining the crew and taking a shift behind the bar… and without skipping a beat, SHE SAID YES!

“What an unforgettable, funny, and utterly surreal experience for our staff, customers, and friends who were in the building to witness it. Mrs. O officially gets the Merlin’s stamp of approval (and her apron is waiting whenever she wants to start)!

“To Sharon, the Osbourne family, and the entire heavy metal community—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. God bless you, @ozzyosbourne!”

It comes after Sharon paid tribute to her husband Ozzy on the first anniversary since his death. Sharing a photo of herself holding hands with the dad-of-six on Instagram, she wrote: “Today would have been our 46th wedding anniversary.

“Instead, it is a celebration of a love that even death could not diminish. I miss your hand in mine, but I carry your love with me every step of the way. Forever my husband. Forever my heart.”

Birmingham marked a year since the death of Ozzy Osbourne last month with a day of music and celebration, affectionately called Ozzy Day, to commemorate the passing of one of its most treasured heroes.

The city was awash with fans dressed in black – wearing T-shirts in tribute to Osbourne or Black Sabbath – visiting sites in the city most connected to the heavy metal legend.
