Rep. John McGuire (R-VA) made the bonkers claim on Newsmax Thursday that the Covid vaccine contained “a BLT sandwich of fetus baby parts.”
McGuire came to the startling conclusion on Thursday’s Wake Up America Early. Host Alex Kraemer wrapped up her McGruire interview saying, “Oh, I couldn’t let you go without talking to you about Dr. Anthony Fauci facing a possible contempt vote after refusing to answer a single question from Congress, not even what the color of his tie was, invoking his Fifth Amendment rights about 111 times yesterday!”
“What do you expect out of this contempt vote?” Kraemer continued. “Will Doctor Fauci be held accountable at all? Sir, I have to say I have I have no words from what I witnessed yesterday!”
“It’s just, it’s crazy,” McGuire began. “I don’t know if you heard about the ‘BLT sandwich’ using human fetus baby parts in the vaccine when they could have used ivermectin. But maybe they’re helping the big pharma get rich,” McGuire said.”
McGuire’s claim was a bastardized version of Wednesday’s rant by Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) during her interrogation of Fauci.
“NIH-funded coronavirus researcher Dr. Ralph Baric and his colleagues at UNC put parts of livers, thymus and chunks of human fetal lung that they got from aborted, almost five-month-old human babies,” Ernst said. “They put those parts in their research mice. They disgustingly named them ‘BLT-L’ mice, and wrote they had created a ‘sandwich of aborted body parts in the mice,’” Ernst said.
“Get it folks? BLT, a BLT sandwich,” Ernst repeated. “Thankfully, the current NIH director has said no more of this. Dr. Fauci, yes or no? Do you think that human aborted parts should be put into mice for coronavirus research?” she asked.
Fauci never answered, but instead took the Fifth for every question asked of him.
Ernst was referring to “humanized mice” that are implanted with human genes, stem cells, or tissues so scientists can study infectious diseases like Covid.
Although President Donald Trump restricted use of fetal tissue research during his first term to appease the anti-abortion movement, the experimental antibody treatment he took to save his own life when he contracted Covid was developed using cells derived from human fetal tissue.
Other pharmaceutical companies racing to develop a vaccine “also made use of these cell lines” derived from a fetus aborted in the 1970s. And, although the humanized mice may have contained human fetal stem cells, the Covid vaccine itself never did.
