Pompano Beach resident Nancy Dello Stritto told CBS News how she was surprised to find the racy license plate upon picking up her mail.
Now, she’s the talk of her retirement community. To the untrained — or unexperienced — eye, Stritto’s new license plate simply reads as-is: “SQZ A55.” However, from a distance — and to a more experienced — eye, the two number 5s look like two letter Ss — spelling out a risqué phrase: “Squeeze a**.”

Senior Woman Shocked After Florida DMV Sends Her License Plate That Reads ‘SQZ A55’
Stritto told CBS News her initial reaction to collecting her mail and finding the racy plate. She said:
“I didn’t know I was getting a plate. I looked at it and I said, ‘I don’t think so.’ I don’t think a woman that lives in a senior community, that’s going to be 77 years old next month, will be driving around with what this plate has to say.”
Stritto said the elderly men around her senior living community have been enjoying the incident. As she sat with the plate next to her 89-year-old male neighbor, Stritto said, “And this is what I received from the DMV. This is my new license plate that is good for 10 years.” He bluntly replied, “Good.” She repeated it back and laughed.
Stritto told CBS News she received the plate from the Broward Property Tax Collector’s Office. Officials there noted that anyone who is unhappy with their license plate can request a free replacement. Stritto said she plans to let the state know about her new plate and its message. However, people in her retirement community want her to keep it.
She now believes “maybe it’s destined” for her to keep her new racy plate. She said, “I’m kind of resigning to it and I figured maybe it was just destined to be on my car. I can handle it if I get a few honks here and there. Actually, being over 70, I might like a few honks.”
