‘Complete Freak’: Trump WH Viciously Attacks CNN Journo’s Joyful Instagram Reels

The White House social media account levied a nasty attack at a playful post from CNN journalist Clarissa Ward, dubbing the international correspondent — who often reports from active combat zones — as a “hot mess.”

The slam from the @RapidResponse47 X account came with a repost of a clip of Ward joyfully dancing and making silly poses over the 1978 classic Peaches & Herb song “Shake Your Groove Thing” as she traveled for an assignment.

“Imagine being a self-described ‘serious’ journalist at CNN and acting like a complete freak in public, embarrassing yourself all for some social media clicks,” the White House account posted.

“Honey, nobody wants to watch that hot mess. @clarissaward”

Ward — who spent Wednesday in Mallorca, Spain reporting on the solar eclipse — didn’t miss a beat.

“When you get an assignment that is just good fun…. Feeling PUMPED! Can you tell? Drinks on me for anyone who can guess what I’m going to cover. Actually, there are some pretty blatant clues in there so you might have to settle for a like,” Ward wrote in the original post Tuesday, on Instagram.

“and and remember, if you’re not laughing your ass off and making a tit out of yourself, you’re doing this wrong!!”

She later posted her piece for CNN on the solar eclipse in Spain, in which she’s wearing the same summery outfit of shorts, white top and beige vest.

Others online were quick to point out the apparent hypocrisy of the social media slam.

Tommy Vietor, a Pod Save America podcast co-host, called out the attack.

“You f*cking dorks tweet about the Trump dance all the time,” Vietor wrote, reposting an @RapidResponse47 item from December showing President Donald Trump doing his trademark “Trump Dance” at the FIFA World Cup draw.

Former Republican Illinois Rep. Adam Kizinger also chirped the White House account.

“You work for Trump,” he wrote in one response, before adding a second with a clip of Trump dancing and the caption: “Ya bro.”
