In Minnesota’s Senate race, ABC News projects Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan will win the Democratic primary, solidifying nationwide victories for progressive candidates.
Flanagan will face former NFL sideline reporter Michele Tafoya, who ABC News projects will win the Republican nomination, to replace Democratic Sen. Tina Smith, who is retiring.
In Minnesota’s governor race, ABC News projects Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar will face Republican Lisa Demuth, the speaker of the Minnesota House, to replace retiring Democratic Gov. Tim Walz.
