This category is fairly simple to understand, with WAX and WICK already providing the idea of a candle right away. Once you imagine the parts of a candle, its FRAGRANCE should come next naturally. That being said, not every candle is within a JAR, so that word can be harder to find to complete this part of the Connections puzzle.

Green Answers: Revealed & Explained

This was the easiest category for me to solve, mainly because LIQUID NITROGEN was a word that stood out to me. Immediately associating the concept of “cold” with this category should lead you to SNOW and SUNDAE at the very least. This makes REFRIGERATOR stand out with almost no relationship with other phrases, making it fit in the pattern for this category’s solution.

Blue Answers: Revealed & Explained

On their own, words like SHAFT can be misread as being part of the candle category. Meanwhile, MOTOR and BUTTONS give an idea of machinery, or at least what makes up something industrial. This could help you find CABLES as part of this category, with SHAFT then standing out from what’s left to organize the rest of this section.

Purple Answers: Revealed & Explained

Each of the words in this category doesn’t really fit anywhere, except maybe RAMBO and WICK for action movie characters. Yet, the “RAM” part of RAMBO stands out when you pair it with the “BUCKY” in BUCKYBALL for male goats and deer respectively. Applying this logic to the “TOM” part of TOMATILLO and the “JACK” in JACKPOT helps form the rest of this category, solving the rest of today’s Connections.
