According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Chicago White Sox have acquired Castillo from the Mariners in exchange for pitcher Seranthony Dominguez, outfielder Nolan Jones, and prospect Boston Smith.
Castillo had been generating a lot of chatter in the rumor mill as a trade candidate leading up to the deadline. Now, with this move, he has found his new home with the White Sox and will look to make a big impact with the AL Central club.
Castillo has struggled this season, as he has a 3-9 record and a 5.06 ERA.
