A food vendor’s livestream at Seattle’s annual Bite of Seattle festival captured the terrifying moment gunfire erupted on Sunday evening, with the streamer and nearby festival workers scrambling for cover as shots rang out across the crowded event.
The video, streamed by Hawaiian Honeycones, shows the vendor speaking to viewers when someone off-camera suddenly warns that there is shooting.
“Get down, get down!” the vendor shouts as people run through the festival grounds in the background. “It’s right there! Oh sh*t!”

Moments later, colleagues at the stand are seen grabbing the cash register and tip jar before fleeing the stall as crowds rush away from the scene.
The shooting unfolded shortly after 6 p.m. local time at Seattle Center, near the Space Needle, where thousands had gathered for the annual food festival. Authorities said three people were killed and several others were wounded, including a 2-year-old child.
Two victims died at the scene, while a third later died in the hospital.
Speaking during a late-night press conference, Seattle Police Assistant Chief Tyrone Davis said investigators believe two people were involved in the shooting. One suspect has been taken into custody, while officers continue searching for another person believed to have been involved.
“There is no outstanding threat to the community,” Davis said.
Hospital officials said the patients initially transported had suffered gunshot wounds to areas including the arm, leg, abdomen, and lower leg.
Other videos posted online showed frightened festivalgoers sprinting through vendor stalls and seeking shelter inside the Space Needle gift shop as police, firefighters and emergency medical crews flooded the area.
