Marvel fans finally get another encouraging update about Daredevil: Born Again season 3. Royce Johnson, who plays Chief Detective Brett Mahoney in the Disney+ series, shared a video gallery on Instagram with several pictures from what appears to be the show’s wrap party. Although the post doesn’t confirm that or state that filming has officially concluded, it does heavily imply that the upcoming season of Daredevil: Born Again is on its way to post-production.
Johnson has portrayed Mahoney since Netflix’s original Daredevil series in 2015, before reprising the role in Jessica Jones and The Punisher. The actor returned to the franchise after the Marvel Cinematic Universe picked up Daredevil: Born Again, making him one of several familiar faces from the original Netflix show to continue their stories in the revival.
Daredevil: Born Again season 3 is once again led by showrunner Dario Scardapane. Johnson’s post arrives just days before San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Marvel Studios has used the convention to unveil trailers, announce casting, and provide production updates on upcoming projects in the past. While there is no confirmation that Daredevil: Born Again will be featured in any panels this year, there could very well be an official announcement confirming that season 3 has wrapped production.
There is currently no official release date for Daredevil: Born Again season 3 at the time of this article’s publication. However, the upcoming installment is expected to premiere in March 2027. Seasons 1 and 2 can be streamed in full on Disney+.
