Ray J also spoke on atmosphere at State Farm Arena and watching boxing legends and champions pull up. The evening saw Floyd Mayweather Jr., Terence Crawford, Shane Mosley, Shakur Stevenson, Richardson Hitchins, and more. Ray J said:

“Everybody showed me love and at least said, ‘What’s up.’ I mean, they’re on another caliber, training wise and skill wise, but for them to just see me in there trying, and then actually getting to win, was emotional. And then I talked to my son and daughter and they were just in tears. And that’s what really did it for me. So, now, I’m not even hanging out tonight. I’m about to go just chill, take a bath, and watch TV.”

We also asked Ray J how it felt walking out into the arena with his sister Brandy. He smiled and shared:

“Man, it was so emotional. Well, the fact that I won? Man, nothing can beat that. My mom was watching. I mean, we didn’t win the Super Bowl, but we won something like that. It was something emotional about that, even just for people that was rooting for me. So, I’m excited, man. Thank you.”
