KPop Demon Hunters Officially Returns In 3 Months With Rare Netflix Release

Huntr/x only continues to rise, with a special new release confirmed for Netflix’s smash-hit fantasy musical.

KPop Demon Hunters premiered on Netflix in June 2025 and became a rare, sweeping global phenomenon, shattering all the streaming platform’s records and winning two Academy Awards. The Sony-produced animated feature follows Huntr/x, a K-pop girl group who moonlight as demon hunters. Now, the most dedicated fans can secure a physical copy of the movie, along with some special bonus content.

Per criterion.com, KPop Demon Hunters is getting a 4K + Blu-ray special edition release on November 3, 2026. Options for Blu-ray discs only or just regular DVDs are also now available to pre-order. It is very rare, but the Criterion Collection has previously released some Netflix movies, including Roma and The Irishman, on Blu-ray and DVD. KPop Demon Hunters’ 4K + Blu-ray special edition’s features will include:

KPop Demon Hunters has proven to be an exception for Netflix in multiple ways, as the streamer also brought the movie to theaters for two individual weekends following its massive success on streaming. Thus, KPop Demon Hunters got to be a box office hit for the time that it was available on the big screen. KPop Demon Hunters 2 is also confirmed to be in development, which is hardly a surprise.
