Kelly Osbourne has gone nuclear on singer, Dee Snider, after he accused her father, Ozzy Osbourne – who died last year – of not writing his own songs

Kelly Osbourne has jumped to the defence of her dad, Ozzy Osbourne, after claiming his memory was ‘insulted’ by an “irrelevant” musician.
In a post on X, which left Kelly, 41, fuming, Twister Sister star, Dee Snider, 71, claimed the Black Sabbath legend, who died last year, did not write his own songs – before quickly issuing an apology.
Things kicked off while Dee was responding to questions about songwriting credits and royalties. In jaw-dropping claims, he said that Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler wrote all of the band’s lyrics, that Bob Daisley wrote lyrics for Ozzy’s first two solo albums and that Lemmy Kilmister contributed lyrics to Ozzy’s 1991 album No More Tears.
Snider also wrote that Sharon Osbourne “doesn’t like to share” while discussing the legacy of Ozzy’s music. He later added that many singers do not write their own songs but can still make them their own.
Seething over the “spectacularly classless” allegations from Dee, Kelly retorted: “‘My father’s legacy as a musician, songwriter, singer and bandleader speaks for itself.
“His friends, those who worked with him, those who love him, and millions of fans around the world that still continue to buy his records know exactly what he meant what he contributed and what he leaves behind. His legacy will live on eternally.”
Kelly, who recently split from SlipKnot musician, Sid Wilson, then claimed Dee’s ‘last hit’ was more than 40 years ago – 1984.
She continued: “There’s something spectacularly classless about Dee Snider trying to diminish my father Ozzy Osbourne and his extraordinary abilities and achievements when he is no longer here to challenge his allegations.”
Kelly then compared Dee’s “brief period of mainstream success more than 40 years ago,” to her dad’s career, which “spanned nearly six decades and helped define heavy metal”.
And she wasn’t done yet. Signing off, branding the singer “Irrelevant”, she wrote: “My father doesn’t need Dee Snider’s approval to establish his place in music history. And trying to make my father smaller won’t make Dee Snider bigger.
“It only reminds everyone of the enormous difference between their legacies and further proves how irrelevant Snider is to the music industry and society as a whole.”
Kelly concluded: “However, I would like to thank you Dee Snider for allowing the world to see how truly desperate he really is!”
Following the furore, Dee took to X to apologise. Insisting he had “nothing but love for Ozzy”, he posted: “To be clear, I HAVE NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR OZZY. He was always lovely to me. Black Sabbath changed my life! As a songwriter I can be a little touchy about credit and royalties.”
