Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez kept their wedding small and private. However, one important detail happened just a day before they exchanged vows. The couple signed a prenuptial agreement on August 10, one day before their August 11 wedding.

According to the Daily Mail, the agreement was signed at a public notary’s office in Lisbon. It reportedly states that Ronaldo and Georgina will keep their premarital assets separate. As a result, the arrangement gives the couple a clear legal framework for their finances as they begin married life.
Meanwhile, their wedding was far from a huge celebrity event. Ronaldo and Georgina reportedly married at the football star’s £30 million ($40.6 million) mansion near Lisbon in an intimate civil ceremony. Only four witnesses and their children were present. Georgina’s sister Ivana, Ronaldo’s longtime friend Miguel Paixao, and Spanish couple Jose Rodriguez Sangil and Monica Goncalez Martinez were among the witnesses.
The couple reportedly exchanged vows at 1:30 p.m. on August 11, exactly one year after announcing their engagement. Their marriage was later confirmed after they shared photos showing off their wedding rings.
The private ceremony also came after a bizarre wedding mix-up in Madeira. Days earlier, thousands of fans reportedly gathered outside Funchal Cathedral after rumors spread that Ronaldo and Georgina would marry there.
However, the crowd had arrived for another couple, Nicole and Fábio. Ronaldo later appeared to find the confusion amusing and responded to footage with laughing emojis.
Now, Ronaldo has returned his attention to football. He is back in training with Al-Nassr as he continues his pursuit of more career milestones, including 1,000 goals.
