Exclusive: Cardi B Allegedly Films Secret Tiny Desk Set With Strict No-Phone Policy
Cardi B may be bringing her larger-than-life energy to one of music’s most intimate stages.
The Jasmine Brand exclusively reports that the Grammy-winning rapper allegedly taped an NPR Tiny Desk performance last week, with attendees reportedly required to hand over their phones before entering the session. Details surrounding the setlist and release date remain under wraps.
The rumored appearance would arrive during a major chapter for Cardi, who released her long-awaited sophomore album, “Am I the Drama?,” in September 2025, seven years after her Grammy-winning debut, “Invasion of Privacy.”
The project was followed by her Little Miss Drama Tour, her first full headlining arena run, which traveled across North America earlier this year.
A Tiny Desk set could be the perfect victory lap for Cardi. Known for huge production, choreography and headline-making performances, the stripped-down NPR format would give her a chance to spotlight her live delivery, personality and catalog with a band in a much more intimate setting for fans to see.
Cardi also returned with new music this summer, releasing “AH HA,” her first single of 2026, keeping momentum going after her album and tour era.
