The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, August 14, reveal that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) have some conflict ahead thanks to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will also address an issue from their history, so here’s what Y&R has in store.
First, let’s talk about Billy’s latest discovery.
John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) helped save Chancellor from going bankrupt decades ago, but there’s no indication based on the paperwork that the debt was paid off.
Since John’s agreement stipulated that the Abbotts would own Chancellor outright if he didn’t get his money back in 20 years, the Abbott clan could indeed own the company.
Will Billy admit what he’s learned to Cane and Lily or leave them in the dark a bit longer?
It’s possible Billy will want to get all his ducks in a row and score confirmation before he spills any news , but it’s also possible his impulsive side will win out.
Whether Billy holds back or blurts out what he’s uncovered, he’s going to stir up trouble between Cane and Lily.
Even if Lily and Cane don’t find out the details of Billy’s discovery yet, his latest obsession will come between them on Friday’s episode.
Cane and Lily are gearing up for a fight, so that could leave Cane uneasy about their future.
There’s nothing Cane wants more than to rebuild his life with Lily and be a family with the twins again, but he may have concerns once this setback hits.
As for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), she’ll put on a brave face and pretend everything’s fine.
Nikki will try to present a strong image despite her worries regarding Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), so this may involve a run-in with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) or someone else.
If Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) pops up at some point, he may sense that Nikki isn’t doing well and urge her to get real with him about her family drama.
Speaking of drama, there’ll be some for Adam and Chelsea on Friday’s show as well.
It turns out Chelsea and Adam will have an important discussion involving their history, so that could bring some tension.
Adam and Chelsea will address a buried issue, so we’ll see if this ties in with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), Riza Thomson (Tina Casciani) or even something that happened further back.
