The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) may face a disturbing discovery after his wild night with Marie Wilson (Jade Harlow).
Will Nick ultimately realize Marie is in deadly trouble and have to leap into action?
After surrendering to drug temptation and heating things up with Marie on the August 11 episode, the situation is poised to take a terrible turn.
Nick already thought he reached his lowest point back when he overdosed and had to be revived by Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) with Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) help.
However, Nick’s true rock bottom might come when he realizes Marie has overdosed right next to him.
A panicked Nick may have to call 911 and work to revive Marie if she eventually becomes unresponsive.
Y&R spoilers say Nick will indeed face some sort of breaking point on August 12, so it makes sense that it might involve Marie’s near-death experience.
That would also fit with what we know about Marie based on her preview spoilers.
When Jade Harlow’s new role was first announced, it was revealed that she’d be on recurring status and that Marie would come to Genoa City in hopes of wiping the slate clean.
Something has to happen to shake Marie up too and convince her that she deserves better than a life of addiction.
Marie doesn’t think she needs Nick to be her hero, but maybe she’s wrong about that in more ways than one!
Perhaps Nick will save Marie from a grim fate and be the one to convince her to join him in rehab.
That would line up with Marie sticking around as a recurring character who wants a new beginning.
Of course, this could also pave the way for Nick and Marie’s connection to become more than just one drug-fueled night together.
It’s possible Marie could work things out with her estranged husband in the end, but she could at least explore whatever feelings might be developing with Nick first.
That’s especially true if Nick saves her life!
For now, The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest some alarming news is coming up for Nick thanks to his entanglement with Marie, so don’t miss all the drama!
