(WJW) — A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Sandusky and Ottawa until 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
In addition, the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch until 8 a.m. Wednesday for several Ohio counties due to “excessive rainfall.”

Here’s a look rainfall totals across Northeast Ohio:
After midnight on Tuesday, a large cluster of downpours and storms brought heavy rain and gusty winds. The majority of those severe storms have since moved out. A few storms linger in the east, but overall Tuesday is much drier with hazy skies and high humidity.
Another cluster of rain and storms will move through after 5 p.m. on Tuesday. That round will feature heavy rain and hail.

The weather pattern will continue to stay active through the middle of the week. During this time, Northeast Ohio be on the eastern edge of another dome of heat in the central US. Multiple storm clusters will develop and travel up and over the ridge across the Ohio Valley.
More sunshine on Wednesday. A spotty storm will develop in the afternoon, only 10-20% coverage. These storms will be very small and shore-lived compared to the clusters earlier in the week.

More classic cold front arrives Thursday night with a few scattered storms Thursday evening.
This active weather pattern will not start to breakdown until the end of the week. The end of the week looks pleasant with slightly below normal temperatures.
