Brad Pitt’s estranged son Knox, 18, debuts wild new hair transformation

Knox Jolie debuted a bold new hairstyle while on a run in Los Angeles on Monday, just hours after his father, Brad Pitt, dropped a bombshell about their family life.

The 18-year-old looked laid-back as he fit in some exercise with friends after his Muay Thai training session, sporting a hair color that was a far cry from his usual blond locks.

Instead, Knox rocked dyed red hair styled in spikes, which revealed a shaved bleach-blond layer on the sides. He was dressed in a dark printed tee and black shorts as he stepped out in the eye-catching look.

Brad’s family feud explained

Knox’s relationship with his famous father is reportedly strained, as evidenced by the teen dropping Brad’s last name from his high school diploma at his graduation ceremony in June.

He follows his five siblings in distancing himself from Brad, who has not been pictured publicly with his kids since 2016, when he separated from his wife, Angelina Jolie.

Brad opened up about the ups and downs of his mental health in an interview with Esquire UK, revealing that he was at his lowest when dealing with “family stuff”.

“I was never suicidal in any way. It just was not my makeup. In fact, if I have any afflictions, it’s probably being a congenital optimist. Which has helped many times, and it’s also gotten me – I’ve walked foolishly head-on into a Mack truck because of my optimism,” he said.

“Or, as my forever-funny friend David Fincher will say, ‘Yeah, you see the glass as half full, but it’s half full of urine.'” The F1 actor continued: “Anyway, I’ve never been suicidal except for one little period. And in that one little period, I just thought – I just couldn’t – just didn’t see a way out. The pain was so oppressive.”

“And I thought, ‘Oh, okay, now I understand’ – I understand suicide, in the sense that it’s just relief. It’s just looking for relief from the pain,” Brad said. “But I also think we have incredible survival instincts. And for me, that immediately kicked in, but it was just…This [expletive] ain’t easy…And you’re talking to a guy who won the lottery.”

Inside their custody agreement

Brad and Angelina were together from 2005 until their shocking split in 2016, following an alleged incident on a private plane between the actor and his eldest son, Maddox, who was 15 at the time.

In the years since, each of his six children has dropped his last name, pointing to a major rift. Meanwhile, Angelina shared that her custody agreement with Brad would end when their twins Knox and Vivienne turned 18, after which she planned to spend time traveling the world.

“I am here because I have to be here from a divorce, but as soon as they’re 18, I’ll be able to leave,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety.”

“I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be…that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here [in LA]. I’ll spend a lot of time in Cambodia. I’ll spend time visiting my family members wherever they may be in the world.”
