The Young and the Restless (Y&R) update for Monday, August 10, indicate that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will reach for vodka again.
Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will also get smacked in the face, so there’ll be some dream twists before Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) meets someone unexpected.
Nick will have an awful nightmare after checking in a motel, so Y&R spoilers say that’ll kick off with the old Matt’s comeback.
Matt will be as menacing as he used to be and will play up how much Nick enjoys being high.
A trip to The Shadow Room will bring Nick’s alarm bells since he’ll see that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is on drugs.
Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) will return from the grave to blast Nick for getting Sharon hooked and slap Matt for being a devil.
While in his vehicle with Sharon, Nick will suddenly get ambushed by Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), who’ll try to strangle him from the backseat for revenge.
Once Nick suddenly appears at the ranch, both Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will hold him responsible for Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) accidental overdose news.
Nick will learn he left his fentanyl stash where Connor could get to it, so Chelsea and Adam will blame him for their son’s death and plan to take Christian Newman (last played by Alex Wilson) away for his own safety.
Nick will go running back to the nightclub in hopes of finding Cassie again, but he’ll find his drug dealer instead.
Nikki will stop Nick from popping more pills, but she’ll admit she’s split from Victor again because of him.
After Victor blasts Nick for following in Nikki’s addicted footsteps, she’ll ask for a double vodka and leave her son horrified as she surrenders to booze.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will appear to Nick once he’s back in his motel room, where he’ll resolve to head down a more positive path and ultimately awaken.
However, it’ll be Marie Wilson (Jade Harlow) who arrives at Nick’s door after hearing him yelling.
Nick will assure Marie that he’s fine following his bad dream, but she’ll seem eager to enjoy some of his drug stash.
