Let’s get ready to rumble… and maybe water ski, if no one gets hurt.
Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg went toe-to-toe with UFC star Merab Dvalishvili for a few rounds on a giant barge on Lake Tahoe, complete with a referee and multiple camera guys and videographers on hand to document the big bout. Zuckerberg shared a video of their fight on his Instagram account on Sunday, with the clip starting off with Dvalishvili picking the tech exec up like a hefty sack of potatoes and tossing him into the frigid water.
But the semi-brawny Zuckerberg didn’t look like a total tomato can. He got some shots and kicks in on Dvalishvili — who is the top-ranked bantamweight challenger and former UFC bantamweight champ — in the video, as well as took him to the ground a couple times.

Dvalishvili appeared to be going easy on Zuckerberg, obviously, but there were a few moments where he showed him who was boss in the octagon — or on the barge, in this case. A few “fans” on boats were able to watch the fight, and Zuckerberg’s wife Priscilla Chan rowed up at one point on her kayak.
She marveled, “Mark has no shirt on,” and her bare chested husband told her Dvalishvili insisted he go shirtless “because it looks more ‘fighter.’” Chan agreed.
The two guys appeared to be good buds, with the ex-champ telling Zuckerberg they should “do this every day.”
This was actually the second time the two have sparred, after they got in the ring last December for a few rounds. Zuckerberg has been a big MMA fan for a few years now and has been seen at fights with UFC boss Dana White.
His passion for fighting has helped remove some of the ultra-nerd stigma he was hit with after The Social Network was released in 2010, but the upcoming sequel looks like it will make Zuckerberg still look like a weak dweeb, based on the trailer.
Zuckerberg’s video ended how it started, with Dvalishvili chucking him in the lake and jumping in after him.
