Social media accounts for the White House and President Donald Trump’s campaign which recently posted Taylor Swift songs no longer have the pop megastar’s music in its videos.
On Tuesday, the Team Trump official campaign account posted a clip to TikTok of the president and First Lady Melania Trump watching fireworks — as the Swift song “August” played in the background.
“I’m sure @Taylor Swift is going to be super excited we used her song!” The post’s caption read.
Sure enough, Swift’s team promptly made clear it was not thrilled — as the track was removed from the clip.
“The copyright owner hasn’t made this sound available in your country,” A new caption read.
Swift’s music was also removed from another recent clip which featured music from the album “Red.”
“Did you know Taylor Swift wrote a whole album about the color of the Republican Party?” The video caption read.
Neither the White House nor Swift’s team responded to comment requests from multiple media outlets.
The flap over the audio was the latest salvo between the Trump and Swift camps — as the president has long held contempt for the pop icon.
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” Trump wrote in a 2024 Truth Social post.
Still, Trump geeked out like a superfan recently over a report that Swift’s husband, Travis Kelce touched down at the recently-renamed Donald J. Trump International Airport in Palm Beach along with the couple’s new dog.
“So cool!!!” Trump wrote.
