The two first started dating in 2016. While battling lupus, Braxton found a strong support system with the Cash Money Records boss. By February 2018, Braxton confirmed she and Birdman were engaged after two years of dating.
She made the reveal on ‘Braxton Family Values.’ She happily told her sisters, “I have an announcement to make — I’m engaged!” She continued to show off the massive $1 million canary yellow diamond engagement ring that Birdman designed.

In April 2018, Braxton told PEOPLE she never expected her friendship with her “bestie for like 15 or 16 years” to turn into something so strong. She said, “I never thought we would be dating or getting married.” By December 31, 2023, Braxton denied marriage rumors online. She claimed they were both single again.
However, by April 2025, TMZ reported that Braxton and Birdman tied the knot on August 8, 2024 in a private ceremony. Despite reports of divorce filings, the two made it to their first anniversary on August 8, 2025. Braxton posted a photo from her wedding day, floating her huge diamond ring while holding a bouquet of flowers. She captioned the post, “Happy Anniversary.”
A year later, the couple are celebrating their second anniversary. While Braxton shared two new photos of herself from her wedding, social media users demanded to know, “Where’s the groom.” Birdman was noticeably missing from her post for a second year in a row. Nevertheless, we are wishing the two a happy second year of marriage!
