Spider-Man: Brand New Day star denies that he is one of Marvel Comics’ most hated characters.
Eman Esfandi, who plays MJ’s (Zendaya) unnamed boyfriend in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, just shut down a major rumor regarding his character. Since the film’s debut, viewers have speculated that he is portraying Paul Rabin, the husband of Mary Jane Watson in Marvel Comics.
In a post on his official X account, he thanked his fans who came to his defense and said that the actor would never accept the role of one of Marvel’s most hated characters. Esfandi wrote, “I am not, never have been, and never will be “Paul” To those of you I saw in the comments defending my honor and saying I’d never accept that role… thank you and MTFBWY.”
