Summer 2026 has had no shortage of celebrity weddings—or surprising guest lists.
Emma Roberts and Cody John’s wedding took place on Saturday, July 25, at the John family’s private estate in Idaho. After a four-year engagement, Roberts walked down the aisle in a “ghostly” gown, accompanied by her five-year-old child, Rhodes, the son she shares with ex-partner Garrett Hedlund. However, one important guest was missing from the celebration: Emma’s father, Eric Roberts.
The actor did not walk his daughter down the aisle, nor did he sit next to his sister Julia Roberts, who was in the second row, alongside her husband, Daniel Moder, and a large gathering of stars and family friends, including Demi Moore, Kristen Stewart, Dylan Meyer, and Sarah Paulson. Instead, Eric was photographed in Los Angeles at the time that his daughter was tying the knot. The actor released an exclusive statement to Page Six that seemed to confirm their estrangement. The 70-year-old said, “I love my daughter, always have, always will.” He added, “It is perfectly wonderful for her to celebrate however she wants, with whomever she wants.”
