
COUNTRY singer Tommy Detamore has died, his heartbroken wife announced on Thursday.
Sandra Detamore took to Facebook to reveal her husband of 41 years “went home to be with the Lord” in a “sudden” loss.
“It is with a broken heart, I share that my husband of 41 years, Tommy Detamore, went home to be with the Lord yesterday,” Sandra began her post.
“Tommy was and will always be remembered as a respected musician, producer, collaborator, mentor, and creative force in Country Music.
:Not to mention the love of my life. His work has and will always leave a lasting mark in the country music community.
“His Godgiven gift for playing and producing music allowed him to lift others up and help shape the sound of country music we hear today.”
Sandra said she now “takes comfort” knowing her husband is “at peace.”
“I take comfort in knowing he is at peace and is now with his family and that his music will live on and will be cherished forever,” she said, before adding that the family is now planning funeral arrangements.
“I want to make sure he is celebrated with family and friends and the community.
“This way we can all say our goodbyes, since this was so sudden.”

Tommy was not only a singer, but producer, music engineer and guitarist, after picking up the steel pedal guitar in the 1970s.
He and his family lived in Floresville, Texas, where he has owned Cherry Ridge Studio since 1991.
