‘Hopeless romantic’ Katie Price defends husband Lee Andrews and insists sex tape brag was a joke

Katie Price has stepped in to defend husband, Lee Andrews after he joked about trying to sell a sex tape he said he’d made with the former glamour model

Katie Price has jumped to the defence of her husband, Lee Andrews, after his shocking sex tape claims. The self-professed millionaire, 43, who was recently released from prison in Dubai for the second time, reportedly tried to flog an X-rated video he said he’d made with the former glamour model, 48, leaving her fans and family distraught.

Lee, who later insisted he was only joking about the tape, caused outrage with his latest ‘business venture’. However, Katie insists that the couple never made a video together and that the whole thing was said in jest.

Defending her man, who was reportedly trying to sell the sex tape in a leaked voice mail, she said: “I’ve never done a sex tape with him. I learnt that from back in the day with [ex-boyfriend] Dane Bowers – never.

“I always say to my kids, never – and I say to anyone who’s listening from the younger generation – send a picture to anyone naked showing your bits. One, it’s in the Cloud. You never know, it can be shared. Never do it. So I would never do it.”

Claiming Lee was ‘joking’ about the selling the sex tape, she told Andrew Gold’s Heretics podcast: “He said it as a joke in a voice note somewhere and I sent it to my sister because the email came through to us and I said, Look, he said it as a joke. I said I haven’t even done a sex tape and then it’s come out.”

Katie continued: “I’m not saying everyone’s lying because you can’t have smoke without fire, so I am going to ask him questions when he comes out. Obviously I wouldn’t hurt anyone and I don’t want to be with someone who’s proper scamming other people. That’s not the kind of person I want to be with either.”

However, defending her husband’s character, the mum-of-five added: “I’m in the middle. I want to protect people. I want to protect myself, but also he’s done nothing to me. The Lee I know is not like that.”

When asked if she was in love, she admitted: “I do love him, yeah.” Katie concluded: “You only live once and if you want to do something, do it. There’s no textbook to say you have to wait this long or that.

“I’m a hopeless romantic, but one thing I will say, I will never let a man hurt me again. So, if Lee ends up being really like what people say, I’m not going to sit there and cry and be like, oh, he broke my heart. Because the stories started coming out a week after I met him, it’s sort of in my brain, like, just have your antennas out.”

Katie also defended Lee – who was freed from prison last month, but is still facing allegations of fraud – on her podcast with her sister, Sophie. Denying that there was a sex tape to sell, she stated: “Right, can I just say something? Number one, I’ve not done a sex tape with Lee. And you did tell the papers that. He has said [that we did] in a voice note, which I sent to you, but he was joking in it.”

Refencing his sex tape jokes, Sophie fumed: “The fact that he’s even talking about you in that context to his mates is f***ing out of order and he’s a d***head.”

Katie interrupted: “It wasn’t to his mates, it was to someone professional.” Gobsmacked, Sophie pointed out that this made it “even worse”.

When Lee was warned that selling a sex tape without Katie’s consent would be illegal, he told The Sun: “I was not serious on that mate, we have OnlyFans, we will do our thing on this.”
