Carson Daly Addresses His Future at The Voice After Keke Palmer Host Announcement
Carson Daly has seen the total requests to address his absence from The Voice: Celebrity.
While some fans speculated that Keke Palmer’s new role as the spin-off’s host signaled the end of Daly’s time at the singing competition, there’s no need to fear. In fact, the 53-year-old shared that he’s not going anywhere.
“Many today have asked if I’m leaving the show,” Daly wrote in an Aug. 5 Instagram of his decision not to host The Voice: Celebrity. “Nope.”
Explaining that he is “not the right host for it,” the Total Request Live alum sang the Nope star’s praises and gave her a warm welcome to The Voice.
“We have a NEW amazing HOST!” he said. “The triple threat queen @keke who is PERFECT for it! I’m so grateful she carved out the time in her busy career to help us out. We’re all big fans & welcome her to the family.”
While he won’t be onscreen for the new star-studded version of the competition series, he will continue to host the regular version of The Voice as well as contribute behind-the-scenes.
