Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski Spotted By TMZ Dining Together in Minnesota

Eagle-eyed TMZ snappers caught ex-Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and her former unpaid senior adviser Corey Lewandowski seemingly enjoying lunch together in Minnesota on Wednesday.

The photographer zoomed in on the pair seated at an outdoor waterfront table in Wayzata, Minnesota. Noem donned a large hat for the occasion, while Lewandowski kept a low profile in sunglasses.

According to TMZ’s written article on the matter, the two were “clearly enjoying each other’s company,” at times “laughing and leaning toward one another.”

Noem was ousted from her position in March, with President Donald Trump announcing that she would be “moving” to a new position and that he was nominating then-Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) to take her place.

Just before her firing, Noem testified before the House Judiciary Committee about the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, where she was asked — with her husband sitting right behind her — if she had ever slept with Lewandowski. At the time, she called the allegations “tabloid garbage.”

The former cabinet member has since announced that she would seek a divorce from Bryon Noem after a bombshell Daily Mail report revealed that he was involved in the online cross-dressing scene.

As for Lewandowski, he left the Trump administration when Noem did. Yet in July, The Wall Street Journal reported that the Department of Homeland Security’s inspector general had opened an investigation into whether he improperly influenced the awarding of government contracts during his time as Noem’s unpaid senior adviser. According to the report, Mullin and White House officials have been briefed on the inquiry, and investigators are weighing whether to refer the matter to the Justice Department for possible criminal review.

The Journal cited sources who said some department officials were surprised by how directly involved Lewandowski appeared to be in the contracting process, with people familiar with the approvals saying he personally signed certain contracts despite not serving as a full-time federal official. A representative of his disputed the allegations to the outlet.
