Pokémon x Adidas Officially Confirmed For September 2026 With New Reveals

With ongoing rumors over the past few months of a major Pokémon 30th anniversary announcement crossover with Adidas, fans have been absolutely hyped to see official images and get a sense of when they can get their hands on their own pair of fresh Pokémon kicks. Speculation surrounding the collaboration has been ramping up throughout the summer as sneaker insiders began reporting that Adidas was preparing an extensive collection celebrating Pokémon’s 30th.

Early rumors suggested the partnership would extend well beyond a simple one-off release, with leaked retailer listings and product codes hinting at multiple silhouettes inspired by some of the franchise’s most recognizable creatures. The earliest leaks centered around Pikachu, Charizard, and Gengar, showcasing textured designs that reflected each Pokémon’s distinctive appearance, but only mock-ups were available so far.

Reports later pointed toward a much larger collection featuring additional fan favorites like Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Haunter, Charmander, and Charmeleon, fueling expectations that Adidas was planning one of Pokémon’s biggest fashion collaborations to date. Now, after months of rumors and hype, Adidas has finally pulled back the curtain with the official reveal of its ambitious Pokémon 30th anniversary sneaker lineup, expected to arrive this September (via Hypebeast).

Ghost-type fans receive two options with the Adistar XLG 2.0 “Gengar” and Adistar Control 5 “Haunter,” while Mewtwo headlines three different models: the Samba OG, ZX 8000, and Spezial, each incorporating unique design elements inspired by the Legendary Pokémon. Rounding out the collection are two Rayquaza sneakers, including the F50 Tunit Mega and Adistar Control 5, both finished in green-and-black.
