General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of August 3-7 hint that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) could escape justice if Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) betrays Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson).
General Hospital just dropped its promo for the week, and Curtis’s trial will take place over the next five days.
In fact, GH spoilers for Friday, August 7 reveal that Isaiah will vent to Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) and Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) while working at the hospital.
All arrows are pointing toward the idea that he may not get the outcome he’s looking for after the trial is over.
Portia is slated to take the stand, so could she end up revealing that Isaiah provoked Curtis into punching Isaiah?
The fight resulted in a hand injury for the doctor, which has had a negative impact on his career.
As fans know, Isaiah is a surgeon who participates in life-saving procedures and is one of the best of the best in the country.
Still, while Curtis stupidly approached the couple at the Metro Court patio after he saw Isaiah touch Portia’s belly, raging over it.
Still, had Isaiah not said he’d be a better father to the baby than Curtis would be, the argument likely would not have turned violent.
Portia knows this but testified to the PCPD police that Isaiah didn’t say or do anything to garner the punch Curtis threw.
Curtis was also upset as it felt like Isaiah was living his best life, while he and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) were struggling after their car crash.
For one reason or another, Curtis believed that Isaiah was the driver of the other vehicle in their collision and was disgusted that the doctor knowingly fled the scene.
General Hospital viewers know that Isaiah was not the other driver in that accident, so it’s unlikely Curtis will be able to prove otherwise.
Still, what could have Curtis walking away from the trial a free man is if Portia testifies about the “better father” comment. Portia might be goaded into telling the truth.
After all, Jordan tried to convince her to “do the right thing” a couple of weeks ago, but Portia delivered little Desmund Robinson Ashford (Yirah Aviah) shortly after that discussion, so it’s not been brought up since.
Could Jordan remind her of that chat this week? Could Portia repay Jordan’s delivery assistance by telling the truth?
Portia may even see Desmund bonding with Curtis and realize that she can’t allow her newborn son’s father to miss a moment of time with their little one.
After all, he missed out on everything with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) because Portia lied about the girl’s paternity at the time.
Then there’s the Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) factor. He’s officially back in town and may talk some sense into Portia, too.
General Hospital spoilers note that there’s always the chance that it ‘slips up’ while Portia testifies, so she may not purposely betray Isaiah, but do so simply by accident!
