Aaron Rodgers is shedding new light on his personal life, revealing that his wife played a pivotal role in repairing his strained relationship with his family. Last month, the NFL quarterback posted photos with family members and received an overwhelmingly positive response from his followers, who were happy to see the decade-long feud had finally been resolved.
After years of reported estrangement from his family dating back to late 2014, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers surprised fans in July by posting photos with them on social media.
On August 1, the athlete talked about the reunion in a conversation with NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt. The host said he was “genuinely moved” when he saw Rodgers’ post and the effect it had on him.
Rodgers said he’s been having conversations about it for years, adding that his mystery wife, Brittani, played a role in the family reconciliation. “A big part of it was getting married, and having those conversations with my wife that allowed me to kind of open up to the possibility of coming together,” he answered.
He added that he prefers to keep his personal life private, but he wanted to “shut down” a narrative that has gone on too long. Rodgers said the love and support Brittani has given him urged him to reconnect with family members whom he admittedly missed.
The Athlete Spent The Long Weekend With His Family
On July 20, Rodgers took to Instagram to share a carousel of family photos in which he posed with his mother, Darla, his father, Ed, and his older brother, Luke. His other brother, “The Bachelorette” alum Jordan, was not in the photos. He captioned the post, “Another bonding week,” hinting that it wasn’t the first time he spent time with his family since their reconciliation.
Rodgers told Brandt that the photos were taken during a long weekend he spent with them. “I got to spend a long weekend recently with my parents… my brother and his sweet wife and their incredible two kids. I got to be an uncle,” he shared.
As The Blast previously reported, Rodgers was seen with his father at a golf event back in 2023, where they shared “a special moment.” That meeting reportedly paved the way for a reconciliation.
The Rodgers Family Rift Was Made Public On ‘The Bachelorette’

Rodgers’ estrangement from his family made headlines in 2016. Jordan was one of the final contestants in “The Bachelorette” Season 12, and while on the hometown date with JoJo Fletcher, Rodgers was noticeably absent. Jordan told JoJo that while he remained close with his parents and his other brother, he had no relationship with the NFL star.
Years later, Rodgers said he was never asked to appear on the show. His father, Ed, spoke about the “complicated” relationship in 2017, saying it was difficult to pinpoint exactly how or when the rift started.
In the 2024 Netflix documentary “Aaron Rodgers: Enigma,” the football player discussed the estrangement, saying that religion and lifestyle were among the factors that contributed to the conflict. However, he also noted a divide between him and his family since high school.
Aaron Rodgers Is Heading Into His Final NFL Season

Rodgers revealed that his upcoming 22nd season in the NFL would be his last. The 42-year-old was drafted to the Green Bay Packers in 2005 and spent 18 years with the team, winning a Super Bowl and four NFL MVP awards.
He was traded to the New York Jets in 2023 and played two seasons with the team before joining the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025.
Rodgers said he consulted Brittani about his future in the NFL and that his wife encouraged him to play one more season to “see if it works out.” He agreed and revealed that as of now, there’s “zero debate” that the next season would be his final one, per The Blast.
The Identity Of The Quarterback’s Wife Remains A Mystery

Rodgers has mentioned his wife a few times in interviews, but her identity remains a secret. At a press conference in June 2025, a reporter noticed he wore a ring and asked whether it was a wedding band. He confirmed that it was, adding that he had been married for a couple of months.
Rodgers has had some high-profile relationships throughout his career, most notably with Olivia Munn, Danica Patrick, and Shailene Woodley. This time, however, he is purposefully keeping Brittani’s identity a secret to protect her from public scrutiny.
On “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers revealed that Brittani explicitly said that she didn’t want the publicity that came with being an athlete’s wife. “I’m with somebody who’s private… she doesn’t want to be in the public eye and didn’t sign up to be a celebrity,” Rodgers said, adding that the fascination about his wife is “f-cking bizarre.”
