So, it’s no wonder fans went wild when Patricia Richardson, 75, who played their mom Jill Taylor on the show, shared a photo of the threesome’s sweet reunion on Instagram.

The nostalgic photo, posted on Wednesday, captured the trio smiling together during a meetup – all looking drastically different from their Home Improvement days.

Taran, 42, sported glasses, a full beard, and his brunette hair in long curls, while Jonathan, 44, rocked short dark brown hair and glasses with thick black frames.

Patricia also shocked with her changed appearance, donning a full head of long white hair.

“Omg. Thank you for sharing this!!! I love seeing Jonathan when we can,” someone else added.

Jonathan took a step back from acting to focus on academia, studying philosophy and history at Harvard University, before graduating from Columbia University in 2010.

He’s rarely ever seen in public, though he was spotted in December 2023 looking nearly unrecognizable while taking a stroll around his Southern California neighborhood.

Taran also ditched acting shortly after Home Improvement concluded its eight-season run in May 1999.

He showcased his now-long hair and beard during a video podcast interview in November – his first public appearance since 2011.

Zachery Ty Bryan, 44, and Tim Allen, 73, who played oldest sibling Brad and family patriarch Tim “The Toolman” Taylor, respectively, were noticeably missing from the reunion.

Zachery has been arrested and jailed numerous times over the years for violent incidents.

Most recently, he was booked in November for allegedly violating a domestic violence order in Oregon from 2023.

Meanwhile, Tim reunited with Patricia and fellow Home Improvement alums Richard Karn (Al Borland) and Debbe Dunning (Heidi Keppert), who guest starred on an episode of his sitcom, Shifting Gears, in October.

The comedian recently addressed chatter about Home Improvement getting a revival, saying that “personality problems” with his three on-screen sons are standing in the way of a reboot happening.

“They’ve got their own issues,” Tim said about the former child stars.

“I always thought it would be cool if it was a story about them. That’s a little challenging right now, to put it mildly,” he added.
