Add Elon Musk to the list of people Dr. Anthony Fauci griped about in his newly released Covid-19 diary.
Fauci complained about Musk’s “attacks” against him in a December 2022 diary entry where he noted the SpaceX and Tesla boss had re-shared a post from right-wing influencer Laura Loomer, suggesting he publicly release Fauci’s daughter’s emails. Musk had just bought X two months earlier, and Ali Fauci had worked as a software engineer at the company then-known as Twitter from 2014 to 2021.
Fauci was not a fan of Loomer’s idea — or Musk sharing it.
“Many people in the press and outside are asking about and concerned about the attacks on me by Elon Musk,” Fauci wrote. “Look at this tweet. What b*llshit!”
He then included a screenshot of the Loomer post.
“Hey Elon Musk, under your new ownership of Twitter, will Dr. Fauci’s daughter’s emails be released to the public so we can see how her father influenced her behavior at Twitter with regards to COVID?” Loomer wrote. “Talk about a major conflict of interest. Well known since 2015, by the way!”
One day earlier on December 11, 2022, Fauci jotted down, “All of a sudden, Elon Musk has started to viciously attack me with tweets on Twitter.”
Fauci was referring to Musk posting a meme of the doc and then-President Joe Biden.
“Just one more lockdown, my king…” Fauci said in the meme.
Then on December 13, 2022, Fauci noted the press was “still active” in tracking Musk’s criticism. He pointed to a Washington Post column from writer Greg Sargent, which was headlined “Musk’s ugly attacks on Fauci show how right-wing info warfare works.”
Fauci wrote, “Sargent at the Post say libeal [sic] ourage [sic] does not help counter Musk since it merely shows that he is having an effect. Sargent suggests we ignore him:”
Musk wasn’t the only person Fauci bashed in his diary, though. He branded Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) a “complete disgrace,” repeatedly ripped President Donald Trump, and whined about the “stooges” at Fox News like Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, and Laura Ingraham.
The diary was published by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) on July 25. Paul spearheaded Fauci’s Senate hearing on Wednesday, in which the doc invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times.
Fauci refused to answer questions ranging from whether Bill Gates partnered with China’s communist government on “sensitive research” to what color tie he was wearing.
