“Getting in my car, literally anywhere, and feeling the need to immediately lock my doors. Or if I’m sitting in my car with the engine off, I take my key out and lock my steering wheel. Then I lock my doors from the inside, which makes my car think it’s empty, and it activates the alarm. If anyone tries to open my door or approaches my car, all I have to do is put my key in the ignition, and it makes the alarm go off. I have to do this almost every day when I get to work or when I get home, but I just want a few minutes of peace before I go inside. I’ve never seen my guy friends worry about someone opening their car door when they’re just sitting in it.”
