The Chiefs told People in a statement that the team is “aware of the incident involving Eric Bieniemy’s family.” The statement concluded, “Out of respect for their privacy, we won’t have a comment at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.”
Chiefs Coach Andy Reid also weighed in on the situation on July 27. Per ESPN, Reid said, “Our hearts go out to Eric Bieniemy. Mia is stable, which is a plus.
