Tigers take lead for 2028 QB Sam Sollie

Auburn football head coach Alex Golesh hopes to replicate the same success he has found on the recruiting trail in future cycles. One way he can ensure that is by landing one of the state’s top quarterbacks from the 2028 class.

Auburn football has been high on the radar of Gadsden City High School quarterback Sam Sollie for a few months, and the Tigers’ persistence could lead to a signature. Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong submitted a prediction this week that favors Auburn hauling in the three-star 2028 prospect. Because of Wiltfong’s prediction, Auburn’s forecast has now skyrocketed to a 94% chance of landing Sollie according to Rivals’ Prediction Machine ahead of Sollie’s Aug. 8 commitment date.

Signing with Auburn would be a dream come true for Sollie, who is an Auburn fan. However, Auburn has far from locked up the talented 2028 signal-caller. A slew of SEC programs are in a battle with the Tigers and will work to make things interesting until signing day in December of 2027. Sollie also holds offers from Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida, with Mississippi State and Kentucky viewed as Auburn’s top challengers for Sollie’s signature.
