Michigan State basketball has extended an offer to an intriguing forward prospect that is trending on the recruiting trail.
Jayon Connor of Lewisville, N.C. announced on Tuesday that he’s picked up an offer from the Spartans. Connor took to social media to announce the notable offer from the Spartans.
Connor is currently listed as a four-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 94.89 in 247Sports’ composite system. He is ranked as the No. 16 power forward and No. 99 overall prospect in the 2027 class, but it appears those rankings will be going up based on the recent offers he’s picked on the recruiting trail.
Along with his offer from Michigan State, Connor picked up offers from Tennessee, UConn, Virginia Tech, USC, Providence and Georgia Tech all in the last two days. On top of those notable offers, he also has received major offers from Houston, Illinois, Texas A&M and Wake Forest.
It seems clear that Connor caught some eyes during the recent 2026 Nike EYBL Peach Jam event that occurred this past week. The number of big-time schools jumping into the mix of his recruiting would suggest he turned some heads during that tournament and is someone we should be monitoring as we move forward in this recruiting cycle.
