WALMART is now offering its lowest prices since 2019 on at least 14 must-have products as fall approaches.
The move comes after the retail giant slashed costs on beef and Coca-Cola for the Fourth of July weekend earlier this month.
Back-to-school season is here once again, and Walmart is offering discounts on the “14 most popular school supplies found on classroom lists across the country,” according to a news release, and select products start at just 25 cents.
While there isn’t an exact itemized list available, Walmart said that everyday basics and trending gear, like backpacks and binders, are on sale.
It even teased that customers “can shop the popular Butter trend, inspired by the squishy collectible aesthetic, licensed merchandise from K-Pop Demon Hunters, and must-have backpack charms, alongside elevated stationery from Papier for older students.”
The Butter trend refers to opting for stationery that is shaped like sticks of butter, toast, or other creamy, soft foods.
Students want these aesthetics because they are colorful and squishy.
Staple products typically seen with lowered pricing at Walmart also include Crayons, paper folders, glue sticks, liquid glue, wooden and mechanical pencils, pink erasers, ballpoint pens, and scissors.
Some accessories and beauty products, including collections from Wonder Nation and favorites from La Roche-Posay, Kitsch, Starface, and Mills by Millie Bobby Brown, are discounted, too.
Additionally, Walmart is offering its Back-to-School lunch basket again this year with an “enhanced selection of nutritious options.”
The basket features two weeks’ worth of lunches at around $2 per day.
Ingredients include making sandwiches and there are also snacks, juices, and electrolyte powders.
There’s also the College Grocery Haul basket with essentials for under $35.
Included in the offering are decor, organizational supplies, technology, and other everyday necessities.
They can even get Walmart+ memberships for only $49 yearly (about 50% off) through Walmart+ Student.
Walmart isn’t leaving teachers out of the savings, either.
“To help teachers start the year feeling appreciated, Walmart also offers a curated assortment of new and trending teacher gifts starting as low as $2.48 — making it easy for families and students to celebrate the educators who make every school year possible,” the release noted.
Through the Walmart mobile application, teachers can find classroom supply lists and create classroom registries.
Meanwhile, a summer staple with four burners, warming rack, and grease tray also had its price slashed by 79% a few days ago on the retail giant’s website.
And an inflatable pool big enough for seven people is just $45 at Walmart.
