MADONNA has dominated the charts for decades and won a Golden Globe for her acting — but there’s another talent she kept secret, until recently.
The pop queen, 67, tried her hand at stand-up comedy last year and it went down a storm, with a Hollywood A-lister singing her praises.
Speaking on the Romesh Ranganathan show, Will Arnett recalled how Madge showed up unannounced at a comedy club and did 40 minutes of stand-up.
He said: “We had a night where Madonna went up. [Amy] Schumer brought her. She said Madonna’s going to come, the audience went crazy. I think she did about 40 minutes [of stand-up].
“She had a binder, and she was reading from it. But I gotta say… takes a lot of guts.”
Madonna took aim at US President Donald Trump during her expletive-filled show in New York.
An audience member said: “She did well enough, but the audience was so stunned it was Madonna that it took them the entire set to warm up to her.
“She didn’t do as well as you’d think she would, she got laughs every time she dropped F-bomb, because just hearing Madonna curse is funny.
“She also nailed a joke about how with all of these Trump deportations she’s not going to have any staff left, which got some laughs, but really everyone was just so shocked she was there.”
Madonna’s boyfriend, Akeem Morris, was in the audience, but the couple didn’t hang around after the set, leaving just 10 minutes later.
