Charlène of Monaco Chose Gleaming Gold For The 77th Red Cross Gala

Charlène of Monaco, who twenty years ago didn’t have a suitable dress for the occasion, is now a fashion icon. The princess possesses an enviable wardrobe featuring pieces from the world’s most prestigious fashion houses. For this year’s Red Cross Gala, she added a new dream dress to her personal collection. It is a custom-made creation by Elie Saab in a champagne-gold hue.

The luminous gown is characterized by its rich draping, which meets at the hip, and its sophisticated, slightly asymmetrical halter neckline. The ensemble was completed by a pair of gold and diamond earrings by Ole Lynggaard, a Copenhagen-based jewelry house particularly beloved by Mary of Denmark, who has a similar design in her collection.

Charlène of Monaco wasn’t the only star to shine from the Grimaldi family in the Salle des Étoiles in Monte Carlo, the venue hosting the ball. Joining her and Prince Albert, president of the Monegasque Red Cross, was Camille Gottlieb, head of the humanitarian organization’s youth division.

A regular attendee for several years now, the daughter of Stéphanie of Monaco usually turns heads with her consistently eye-catching outfits: in 2025, she left everyone speechless with an outfit inspired by the dress her grandmother Grace wore in Alfred Hitchcock’s classic Rear Window.
