The long-running sci-fi series has been adapted into tabletop games numerous times and in numerous forms, from expansive RPGs to interactive VHS board games like <em>A Klingon Challenge<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- No AdsNinja v10 Client! --><!-- No AdsNinja v10 Client! --><\/p>\n<p>Prolific tabletop publisher WizKidshas been behind a few of those, including <em>Star Trek Conflick in the Neutral Zone<\/em> and the original <em>Captain&#8217;s Chair<\/em>. In it, players can select from one of six captains, including Kirk, Khan, Philippa Georgiu from <em>Discovery<\/em>, Rebner, and the Pakled Commander from <em>Lower Decks<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Each captain has a unique deck of cards, featuring abilities relating to their allies, abilities, and items from their related series. As a result, it&#8217;s an asymmetric game: your chosen captain will play very differently from your opponent&#8217;s, almost like a game of <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/mtg-goblin-storm-release-date-price-cards\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Magic: The Gathering<\/em>&#8216;s Commander format<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That means you&#8217;ll have to play to your captain&#8217;s strengths; raw power isn&#8217;t always the answer in <em>To Boldly Go<\/em>. It goes for between $50 and $60, depending on where you buy it from, but shipping may be delayed if your copy is back-ordered.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve ever wanted to simulate the strategy of <em>Star Trek<\/em>-style captaincy, this is a great way to do so. The asymmetry of the different captain&#8217;s playstyles adds a great deal of replay value, and the low player count creates tense, delicate confrontations between you and an opponent. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"w-promotion-offer promo-article-content-3\/4-depth w-promotion-widget\" data-popup=\"false\" data-sentinel-tracking=\"false\" style=\"min-height: 250px;\" data-promotion-zone=\"TmV3c2xldHRlciBBcnRpY2xlIENvbnRlbnQgV2lkZ2V0\" data-nosnippet=\"\">\n                                        <link rel=\"stylesheet\" href=\"https:\/\/static0.srcdn.com\/assets\/promotions.bde7f662.css\"\/>\n<\/aside>\n<p>In case you don&#8217;t want to wait, you can check out the original <em>Captain&#8217;s Chair<\/em>, which allows you to play as Picard, Sisko, Michael Burnham, Koloth, Sela, or Thy&#8217;lek Shran. There&#8217;s also the <em>Second Contact<\/em> expansion, which requires ownership of the base game and includes captains Pike and Carol Freeman. For <em><strong>Star Trek <\/strong><\/em>fans, this is a wonderful wing of the franchise to dive into.<\/p>\n<div class=\"display-card tag type-generic large \"
