During the 20th anniversary livestream for the book, Sanderson revealed that fans shouldn&#8217;t expect the upcoming screen adaptation to arrive next year. Sanderson explained that the film is still in the very early stages.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of this article&#8217;s publication, the author explained how right now the main focus is on the script. He further elaborated, stating that he expects there to be a lot more revisions to come. Sanderson added that they haven&#8217;t even begun searching for a director for <em>Mistborn<\/em> yet, and likely won&#8217;t be until the screenplay is ready to go.
