Ali) could ditch Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) and dive into a new romance with her music producer, Simon (Grady Eldridge) \u2013 so let\u2019s talk about it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Simon debuted as a recurring player during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.celebdirtylaundry.com\/2026\/general-hospital-wednesday-july-15-recap-drew-speaks-out-mystery-man-arrives-at-wyndemere-portia-has-her-baby\/\">General Hospital\u2019s Wednesday, July 15 episode<\/a>, so fans will see more and more of him in the days, weeks, and months ahead.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Wednesday\u2019s show, the day had finally arrived for Trina and Giovanni \u201cGio\u201d Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) to perform at their big showcase.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was so amazed at Trina\u2019s performance at Charlie\u2019s months ago that she organized this as she believed in the young girl\u2019s talents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While Trina experienced cold feet some moments before she was supposed to head in front of the mic, BLQ offered a pep talk, and Gio brought it home by providing his friend with some encouraging words.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The two also met Simon beforehand, and there were some sparks that flew between Trina and the music executive as they were introduced to each other.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Unfortunately, the pairing of Trina and Kai has flopped in the chemistry department.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The two are definitely cute together, and they have had more than their fair share of ups and downs, but they don\u2019t seem to have that same romance buzz that Trina once shared with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Could Trina get to that level with Simon?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the showcase, Simon seemed to be more impressed with Gio\u2019s guitar skills than Trina\u2019s singing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He had mentioned this to Brook Lynn, which is when she reminded him that today was about Trina, not Gio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With that said, when Simon headed into the music room after their first song, he advised Trina that he wanted her to perform again, but this time, let loose and give it her all.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the second performance, Trina gave Simon what he was looking for, as it was more than clear that he could finally \u201cfeel\u201d the music that Trina was belting out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A music deal is likely in the works for Trina and possibly Gio, which means that Simon will be in the picture a lot more and spending a lot more time with her.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It doesn\u2019t take a rocket scientist to see that Simon and Trina could bond over music.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He may even create a wedge between her relationship with Kai.
