20px), 720px\" data-pin-media=\"https:\/\/cdn.thehollywoodgossip.com\/uploads\/2026\/07\/GettyImages-461645512-3-scaled.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">TV personality Kate Gosselin arrives at NBCUniversal\u2019s 2015 Winter TCA Tour \u2013 Day 2 at The Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa on January 16, 2015 in Pasadena, California.  <span class=\"image-caption-credit\"> (Photo by Angela Weiss\/Getty Images)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It\u2019ll be his first major reality TV appearance in years \u2014 and one that comes with an interesting family connection.<\/p>\n<p>Collin\u2019s casting is especially notable because his estranged mother competed during the show\u2019s inaugural season in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Fox announced the new cast on Wednesday, revealing that Collin will compete alongside a wide-ranging group of celebrities in the physically and mentally demanding competition series.<\/p>\n<p>Kate\u2019s experience on the show was memorably (and hilariously) short-lived.<\/p>\n<p>She was forced to leave the competition during the first episode after suffering an injury, ending her journey almost as soon as it began.<\/p>\n<p>Now, three years later, Collin will get his own chance to tackle the grueling Marine-style training course \u2014 one designed to push contestants to their absolute limits.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike traditional reality competitions,<em> Special Forces<\/em> doesn\u2019t feature weekly eliminations or audience voting.
