His character will go up against series lead <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/tags\/michael-c-hall\/\">Michael C. In the first season, Dexter Morgan woke up from a coma after being shot by his son Harrison and traveled to New York City in search of him, only for his past to catch up.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In April, it was announced that <em>Succession <\/em>star <strong>Brian Cox<\/strong> had joined the show\u2019s second season in a series regular role. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2026\/04\/02\/brian-cox-joins-dexter-resurrection-for-season-2-character-details-revealed\/\">Learn more details about his character here<\/a>!
