He also said troops under the age of 30 can request to take the annual test if they\u2019d like as well.<\/p>\n<p>The Mayo Clinic said testosterone levels in men start to drop in their 30s and 40s at a<a href=\"https:\/\/mcpress.mayoclinic.org\/healthy-aging\/the-aging-male-testosterones-role-in-healthy-aging\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bout a rate of 2%<\/a> each year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf testosterone drops below a certain level, it can cause symptoms. Fatigue and low sexual interest are common\u2026 muscle wasting and a decrease in muscle strength can be a result of low testosterone, too,\u201d the clinic <a href=\"https:\/\/newsnetwork.mayoclinic.org\/discussion\/mayo-clinic-q-and-a-testosterone-therapy-maybe\/\">said<\/a> in one report about testosterone replacement therapy in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Low-T can hurt women as well by contributing to a \u201cdecreased sex drive, depression, and weakness,\u201d according to the Cleveland Clinic.<\/p>\n<p>Hegseth did not differentiate between male and female soldiers in his video, so it appears the offer applies to all troops.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we know, the modern battlefield is brutal and unrelenting.
