In reality, Nolan\u2019s cuts were due to the limitations of the Imax cameras he was using. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cWorking with the Imax cameras for the first time is an experience,\u201d Holland explained. \u201cIt is unlike anything I have ever seen before, and I didn\u2019t know that it only ran for three minutes. So, I remember you would continue cutting, and I was with Jon [Bernthal], like, \u2018Why does he keep cutting? Why does he keep doing that?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHe added, \u201cAnd in my head, I was like, \u2018Does he not like what we\u2019re doing? What is happening?\u2019 And then, I remember it was actually [stunt coordinator] George Cottle that was like, \u2018No, no, no, there\u2019s only three minutes in the mag.\u2019 I was like, \u2018Oh, thank god.\u2019 I thought I was totally shitting the bed in this scene.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHolland stars as Telemachus, the son of Matt Damon\u2019s Odysseus, in \u201cThe Odyssey,\u201d which hits theaters on July 17. Other cast members include Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong\u2019o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Elliot Page, Benny Safdie, Mia Goth and John Leguizamo. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDespite the wobbly start, Holland told GQ in a recent profile that working with Nolan on \u201cThe Odyssey\u201d was<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/film\/news\/tom-holland-the-odyssey-best-experience-christopher-nolan-1236453339\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> \u201cthe best experience I\u2019ve had on a film set.\u201d<\/a> <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cWorking with Chris, getting to know him and Emma [Thomas] was absolutely fantastic.
